James L. Wolfe
President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. James L. Wolfe has over 40 years of extensive managerial and accounting experience in the financial services industry. Mr. Wolfe is the President of The Adam Corporation/Group (“TAC/G”) and has been affiliated with the company since 1989. TAC/G is a privately-owned company headquartered in College Station, Texas. Prior to its sale to Citigroup, Inc., Mr. Wolfe had also served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of First American Bank, which was a second-tier subsidiary of TAC/G and had $3.6 billion in assets. Prior to his affiliation with TAC/G, Mr. Wolfe was the Controller and Senior Vice President from 1984 to 1989 of Banc United and its predecessors, a financial institution with $5 billion in assets headquartered in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Wolfe began his career with KPMG (formerly, Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.), where he spent 10 years following his 1973 graduation from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a major in Accounting. Mr. Wolfe is a Certified Public Accountant.
