American Momentum Bank hires new SBA lending business development officer

Jul 24, 2019, 10:10 AM by Bonner Cooper

TAMPA, Fla. (July 24, 2019)—American Momentum Bank has hired Steven Hoschak to join as SBA Business Development Officer II.

Based out of American Momentum’s Florida headquarters office in Tampa, Hoschak will be responsible for sourcing well-qualified SBA 7(a) loan opportunities throughout Florida, with a focus on Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties.

“Steven came very highly recommended and is well-known by many in the industry as someone who is highly skilled in relationship management,” said Patrick Fenech, senior vice president and managing director of SBA lending for American Momentum Bank.

Prior to joining American Momentum, Hoschak served as commercial relationship manager at Achieva Credit Union in Dunedin, where he was responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of $20 million. He’s also held positions with TD Bank, Synovus Bank and BB&T Bank over the past 12 years.

“This new role at American Momentum gives me the opportunity to meet with small businesses and see acquisition deals take place,” said Hoschak. “When I saw what a great team American Momentum has and how well-respected they are from an SBA production standpoint, joining the bank made complete sense."

Hoschak has received a number of honors and awards from his former employers over the years, including being recognized as a Top Producing Commercial Lender for Achieva Credit Union in 2018. Born and raised in Tampa, he’s also the vice chair of 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc., a nonprofit call-center that provides support and resources to the military, homeless, children, families and seniors in need.

“Steven is going to be an asset to our team because of his work ethic, discipline and strong customer service skills,” said Fenech. “He’s also an experienced lender. These traits are a great combination and great fit for what we’re building in American Momentum’s SBA lending division."

American Momentum Bank’s SBA lending division offers creative financing solutions to support small businesses. The bank is a Preferred SBA Lender, meaning it originates, underwrites and approve loans directly on behalf of the SBA, resulting in quick decisions, approvals and closings.
