Confidence is knowing that you have a financial partner that respects and protects the privacy of your personal financial information. At American Momentum Bank, we are committed to keeping your trust and confidence. We set a high standard for quality service and we deliver on this standard every day. It’s the right thing to do. The American Momentum Bank Privacy Commitment is our way of communicating the kind of information we collect, how we use it, and the standards and procedures that are securely in place to safeguard your personal financial information.

The American Momentum Bank Privacy Commitment applies to individuals who obtain or who have obtained from us a financial product or service that is used primarily for personal, family or household purposes. The laws of some states may impose separate or additional requirements before particular types of information about clients in those states can be disclosed.  The American Momentum Bank Privacy Commitment is provided in compliance with applicable law and replaces all other notices, statements or agreements with respect to the same subject matter.

American Momentum Bank is committed to helping you realize your dreams by anticipating, understanding, and meeting your financial needs. As American Momentum Bank works to provide the broad array of financial products and services you want and need, the bank pledges to protect the personal information you have entrusted to us. You can be confident that American Momentum Bank will not sell current or former client information or lists to outside marketers.

Protecting Information about You

We restrict access to your personal financial information to those associates who need to know that information as part of their job responsibilities. We also educate our associates about the importance of confidentiality and client privacy through standard operating procedures, special training programs and our Code of Ethics, Conduct and Conflicts of Interest. We take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce associate privacy responsibilities.  American Momentum Bank also maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to guard your information. We will continue to test and update our technology to improve the protection of your information.  To protect yourself from fraud and identity theft, the first step is monitoring your credit and checking for accuracy.  The law entitles you to receive one free credit file disclosure every 12 months from AnnualCreditReport.com or 1-877-322-8228, the ONLY authorized source under federal law. Monitoring your credit for accuracy is an important step to take in protecting yourself from fraud and identity theft.

We Want to Maintain Accurate Client Information

We have established procedures in place to keep your information current and complete.  These procedures include responding to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.  If you believe our client records contain inaccurate information about you, call or write to us at the telephone number or address listed on your account statement, bank records or other documentation, or click here to send us a secure email.

American Momentum Bank does not contact clients via email to verify or request security information.  If you receive a fraudulent email, please do not respond; instead, forward it to [email protected]. If you believe your account information may have been compromised, please contact us immediately at 866-530-2265 or (813) 282-8888.

ONLINE PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Collection and Use of Client Information

The collection of information online is designed to protect access to your accounts and to assist the bank in providing you with the products and services that are of value to you. All information collected and stored by the bank is used for specific business purposes. Specifically, it is used to protect and maintain your accounts and transactions, to comply with state and federal banking regulations, and to help the bank better understand your financial needs in order to design or improve our products and services.

This information is gathered from a variety of sources. Personal and confidential information is collected when you open an account or apply for credit. We also may obtain reports from credit bureaus or other creditors for evaluating your initial application during the course of a subsequent periodic review of your banking relationship with us.

For example, when you use Internet banking to apply for one of our products or services or sign up for an online service, such as bill payment, we will request information, such as your e-mail address or your account number. This information allows you to perform certain tasks (e.g., correspond with us or review your accounts) and it allows us to provide the information you requested. In these cases, we collect only the information necessary to interact with you. We also gather data to track Web site usage, such as a number of hits, pages visited, and the length of user sessions, in order to evaluate the usefulness of our sites. This information is not specific to your personally identifiable financial information.

Cookies

A cookie is an element of data that a Web site can send to  your browser, which may then be stored on your system. A cookie does not retrieve any data from your hard drive, carry computer viruses, or capture your e-mail address. Cookies help Web sites to keep track of user preferences and to recognize return visitors. So, when you return to a Web site you've visited before, your browser gives this data back to the server.

We use cookies to make your online experience with us a more focused one based on the products or services you have with us. We also use cookies for various purposes, such as maintaining continuity during an online session, gathering data about the use of our site, or monitoring our online promotions. This information helps us inform you about additional products, services or promotions that may be of interest to you.

You can set your browser to reject cookies. However, if you choose to reject cookies, you will not be able to bank online with us. If your browser rejects cookies, you may not be able to sign on to your favorite sites or use the features you like most within those sites.

Online Security

We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your information and online transactions. We use the highest industry standards for online security to secure your online sessions. This process safeguards your banking sessions from intruders. Client information is protected from unauthorized access to the bank by a password chosen by the client. Thus, client information is only accessible to those who know the client's user identification and password. User identification and passwords provide audit trails to further safeguard the privacy of client information.

Client information is protected from being altered while in transmission to the bank by encryption technology known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL manipulates the data into a format unreadable to humans as it leaves the client's workstation. Furthermore, the data in transit is split up into packets that travel separately and are not reorganized until they filter through the bank's router. If the encryption code is broken on an unauthorized computer, that computer will only receive incomplete random packets, which would be out of context with the whole data.

Links on Our Website

For your convenience, American Momentum Bank may have links to external Web sites (sites not controlled or operated by American Momentum Bank). American Momentum Bank has no control of these Web sites, including content, opinions expressed, products, ideas and services. American Momentum Bank makes no assurance as to the privacy, security or authenticity of your communications with any linked sites.

External Financial Services

Please use caution when using external financial aggregation or consolidation services. These are companies that collect personal information from a variety of sources and place them on one Web site. They are able to do this by having you give them your identification information and password for each individual Web site, and then use these passwords to access each account. You must provide your permission and information to allow these services to collect this data. American Momentum Bank encourages extreme caution when using these services and providing any account information or password to a site that is not familiar to you.

Protecting Children

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) was passed to give parents increased control over what information is collected from their children online and how such information is used. The law applies to Web sites and services directed to, and which knowingly collect information from, children under the age of 13. American Momentum Bank's Web site and online services are not directed to children under the age of 13, nor is information knowingly collected from them. For additional information on COPPA protections, link to the Federal Trade Commission's website at FTC.gov for educating both parents and children about the dangers of the Internet and how to browse safely.
