TAMPA, Fla. — American Momentum Bank recently participated in the Junior Achievement (JA) Bowl-a-thon Spring Classic – “Banker’s Challenge” on April 6 at Pin Chasers in Tampa. The company raised more than $5,000 through various fundraising efforts to support Junior Achievement’s mission to empower the next generation through career readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs.

“American Momentum Bank is pleased to support organizations like JA that focus on financial literacy and educating the kids and young adults about their financial well-being,” said Maureen Gallagher, executive vice president, chief administrative officer for American Momentum Bank. “The funds raised through this event will help deliver much needed curriculum to more than 85,000 children in our community.”

The team also collected donations at their banking centers throughout the region. In total, they raised more than $2,500. The fundraising efforts were matched by American Momentum Bank, bringing the grand total to $5,000.

Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay serves 12 counties, including the entire Tampa Bay Area. The organization is volunteer-driven and provides relevant, authentic and experiential financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs that bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. The goal of the program is to empower local students by giving them the knowledge and skills they need to manage their money, plan for their future and make smart academic, career and economic choices.

“Junior Achievement is an incredible organization, and our team was thrilled to support them through this fun, team-building event,” said Gallagher. “We thank everyone who participated. Whether you laced up your bowling shoes or donated through one of our many fundraisers, every dollar counts.”
