American Momentum Bank appoints prominent attorney to Board of Directors

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Feb. 9, 2022) — American Momentum Bank has appointed Paul Dyson, general counsel for Dyson Energy Group, to the bank’s Board of Directors. Dyson brings with him eight years of experience working in the energy industry and more than 14 years of providing legal counsel in the energy industry. He will serve on the Board’s Loan Committee as well as the Audit & Compliance Committee.

“It is because of Paul’s experience in corporate governance and law, his in-depth knowledge of the opportunities and challenges facing energy companies, as well as his knowledge of the communities we serve, that I concluded that he should serve on the Board of Directors of American Momentum Bank,” said Donald A. Adam, Chairman and CEO of American Momentum Bank. “We look forward to welcoming him to the board and are confident he’ll make a great addition to our team.”

Dyson is a lifelong resident of Bryan-College Station and an alumnus of St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Allen Academy. Prior to joining Dyson Energy Group, he had a successful law career, beginning with a clerkship under U.S. District Judge Leonard Davis in Tyler, Texas. He later joined Porter Hedges, LLP in Houston and then the Houston office of Norton Rose Fulbright US, LLP.

In 2014, Dyson joined Dyson Energy Group, a family-owned oil and gas exploration and production company located in Bryan, Texas. He currently serves as General Counsel and is responsible for coordinating legal, financial, and regulatory matters, as well as management duties for Dyson Energy and other family ventures.

“I am inspired by American Momentum Bank’s client-centered mission to create lifelong relationships while providing unparalleled personal service,” said Dyson. “I am eager to work with Mr. Adam, the other directors and the management team to help guide the bank’s continued momentum and to bring my experience and perspective to further its mission.”
