American Momentum Bank grows SBA division with new hire in Dallas

American Momentum Bank has hired Nafis Nasim as vice president, SBA business development officer III, as the bank continues its national expansion of the SBA division. Nasim is based in Dallas, Texas, and will serve clients nationwide.

Texas-chartered American Momentum Bank is a designated “SBA Preferred Lender,” according to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA Lending Division is based in Tampa, Fla., and has been on a growth trajectory since announcing its national expansion in May 2022. The bank serves businesses nationwide.

“Nafis has more than 10 years of SBA lending experience and is well-versed on the requirements of the small business administration,” said Patrick Fenech, senior vice president and managing director of SBA lending for American Momentum Bank. “His experience, paired with his passion for helping small businesses, will make him a great addition to our growing team.”

Prior to joining American Momentum Bank, Nasim served as the senior business development officer – SBA lending for IncredibleBank, where he received the top sales award in 2024. He has also served as vice president of business development for Enterprise America, a real estate services company offering commercial real estate loans and structured financing.

In his new role with American Momentum, Nasim will be responsible for sourcing well-qualified SBA 7(a) loan opportunities. He will also focus on building relationships with small business owners, referral partners, brokers and other industry professionals.

“I’m looking forward to taking my career to the next level with American Momentum Bank,” said Nasim. “The SBA lending division has the resources and infrastructure necessary to accommodate the SBA needs of my clients from across the country. With a willingness to help small businesses and a strong support team, we can get SBA deals done quickly and with great customer service.”

Nasim earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics and his master’s degree in finance from The University of Texas at Dallas. He is involved in various fundraising activities to support at-risk communities in South Dallas and regularly participates in food, clothing and meal drives to support those communities.
